Aboriginal Week

This week we are learning more about the Aboriginal culture through a variety of activities.  Here is a program of upcoming events.  Please join us for the Community Feasting evening on Wednesday.  If the weather is nice, we will be eating in the courtyard.  If it is raining the feasting will move inside.  THINK SUN!!

An inukshuk is a stone figure.  The Inuit make inuksuit for a variety of reasons:  to help people find their way, to mark a place of respect or memorial for a special person, or to mark a place where fish other food can be found.

We made our own inukshuk by tearing black construction paper.  Paper tearing can be very tricky, but we all mastered this new skill!
