Tummy Yummies and Rudolph Sandwiches

We have been getting into the holiday spirit with some fun and YUMMY recipes!
Hopefully you got to try some (or at least "saw" some) of our goodies.  If you liked them, here are the recipes.  Maybe your child can show you how to make these over the holidays!

Measure all ingredients into a bowl.

Use your muscles and MIX it well.

Mix until everthing sticks together.  You might need to use your hands if it gets too hard to stir.

Roll into little balls.  Ooohhhh, it feels gooey!

Chill in the refrigerator.  And there you have it - a plateful of TUMMY YUMMIES that are very yummy!

Next recipe... our Rudolph creations!

Here are the ingredients you will need...

Everything is ready!

Spread on the sunflower seed butter.

Make sure the whole piece of bread is covered, especially the "nose tip"!

Stick on Rudolph's antlers, eyes and red nose!

Here he is!!

Ready to go home!

Look at our Great Work!

We love going through magazines to look for pictures for each letter of the alphabet!  Some of us really like to challenge ourselves by seeing how many ideas we can come up with!

Have a look and listen to some of our latest stories.  We are all becoming good writers!

Winter is Coming!

We have been learning seasonal words and poems in class.  The children have been busy making cards and writing stories.

We were all so exciting about making our very own gingerbread houses!
First we had to build our houses.  We used 7 graham crackers and royal icing.

Sticking the walls together was not easy, but we were all patient and stuck with it!

The roof was the last part of the house.
Extra strong royal icing!

Next, we waited for our creations to dry and harden.  That  took more patience!

FINALLY... we got to decorate our houses!

Our finished products!

Please feel free to drop by in the morning to see and "smell" these beautiful masterpieces before we take them home!!

Fall Is Here!

We have been talking about the seasons.  We worked together with a partner and sorted signs of Fall.

Then we got ready to make some Fall trees...

First we used pastels to draw our "naked" trees!  We talked about the big, thick trunk and branches and twigs!

Next we painted the backgrounds and let our pictures dry.

Then we added the colourful leaves

red and yellow...

green and...

brown!
 What beautiful fall trees!

Sing along with us!
