A "Happy Valentines Day"

Thank you EVERYONE for making our valentines day so special!  The children were so excited to share their treats and their valentines with friends!

Look at all the yummy treats!  What should I eat first??

After eating, (and dancing by some!), we opened our valentine bags!  It was fun reading all the messages from our friends.

Multicultural Games

We have been learning about different games and toys children around the world play with.  Here are 4 we made ourselves!
Tangrams are easy to make and fun to play with!

The game of chance is a great game to play to practice your math skills!

Draw your bears and eagles.

Cut them out carefully

Add up your points - 2 points for eagles, 1 point for bears, 0 points for blanks!  Have fun!

Decorating our paper to cover the rainstick

Carefully cover your rainstick with your colourful paper.

Here it is!  Now turn it over slowly and listen to the "rain"!

First, decorate your cup

You will need some tinfoil and string

Carefully, punch a little hole in your tinfoil.

Have fun scrunching up the tinfoil!

Have fun making and playing with your own bolera!

Tummy Yummies and Rudolph Sandwiches

We have been getting into the holiday spirit with some fun and YUMMY recipes!
Hopefully you got to try some (or at least "saw" some) of our goodies.  If you liked them, here are the recipes.  Maybe your child can show you how to make these over the holidays!

Measure all ingredients into a bowl.

Use your muscles and MIX it well.

Mix until everthing sticks together.  You might need to use your hands if it gets too hard to stir.

Roll into little balls.  Ooohhhh, it feels gooey!

Chill in the refrigerator.  And there you have it - a plateful of TUMMY YUMMIES that are very yummy!

Next recipe... our Rudolph creations!

Here are the ingredients you will need...

Everything is ready!

Spread on the sunflower seed butter.

Make sure the whole piece of bread is covered, especially the "nose tip"!

Stick on Rudolph's antlers, eyes and red nose!

Here he is!!

Ready to go home!
